DoorKnock privacy

Last updated: October 16, 2026

This page explains what personal information DoorKnock holds, where it comes from, what it is used for, and how to unsubscribe or ask for your information.

Who runs DoorKnock

DoorKnock is a lead-management app built and run by Pure Fusion Designs Inc., Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Real-estate agents in Ontario use it to follow up with homeowners they have met in person.

Each realtor is accountable for the information about the homeowners they meet, and decides how it is used. Pure Fusion Designs holds and processes that information on the realtor's behalf, as their service provider. Pure Fusion Designs is accountable for realtors' own account information.

Questions about privacy: the Privacy Officer, Pure Fusion Designs, at info@purefusion.ca.

What information DoorKnock holds

About homeowners

  • Name, home address, phone number and email address.
  • The realtor's record of each visit, and their notes.
  • Comparable Homes reports prepared for the homeowner's house.
  • The emails sent, and whether each one was delivered, bounced, marked as spam or unsubscribed.

About realtors and their staff

  • Account details: name and email address, and sign-in through Google.
  • Records of their work in DoorKnock, such as visits, contacts and emails.

About homes

  • Property and sales information from the MLS, provided through PropTx.
  • Street addresses from public sources, such as municipal address registers.

How it is collected

Homeowners give their details to the realtor in person and agree to hear from them, and the realtor enters them into DoorKnock. DoorKnock never uses purchased, rented or scraped lists.

What it is used for

  • The realtor's follow-up with the homeowner, including emails the realtor sets up, sent on their behalf from their own address on dk.purefusion.ca.
  • Preparing and sharing Comparable Homes reports. A report is shared by a link: anyone who has the link can open the report after accepting the terms of use for MLS data.
  • Running the service: delivering email, handling bounces and spam complaints, and keeping DoorKnock working and secure.

Each realtor's information is kept separate, and no other realtor using DoorKnock can see it. DoorKnock never sells personal information.

Where it is kept and who processes it

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) stores DoorKnock's data and runs the app, in the United States.
  • Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) sends DoorKnock's email.
  • Google handles realtors' sign-in.

Because the information is stored in the United States, courts, law-enforcement and national-security authorities there may be able to access it under US law.

Unsubscribing

  • Every DoorKnock email has a one-click unsubscribe link. An opt-out takes effect immediately.
  • Unsubscribing stops email from the realtor who sent it. Realtors using DoorKnock keep separate lists, so if you gave your details to another realtor too, unsubscribe from their emails the same way.
  • You can also ask the realtor directly to stop contacting you.

How long it is kept

Information is kept for as long as it is part of the realtor's lead database, which is reviewed once a year. It is removed on request, in compliance with Canadian law: see Access, correction and deletion below.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask to see the personal information DoorKnock holds about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. The realtor who has your details is accountable for it and answers these requests. Ask them directly, or write to the Privacy Officer at info@purefusion.ca and we will pass your request to the realtor and help them answer it. Requests are answered within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
